It’s been a busy week for former OKC Barons players signing with European teams:
Gilbert Brulé, with the OKC Barons for part of 2011-12, signed with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg (KHL) on May 12th. Earlier in January Brulé had stated that he was retiring after departing the Coyotes organization, but that seems not to be the case. He will be putting that Firefighter job on hold for the time being.
Denis Grebeshkov, with the OKC Barons for most of 2013-14 signed with Vityaz Podolsk (KHL) on May 14th.
Roman Horák, with the OKC Barons for most of 2013-14, also signed with Vityaz Podolsk (KHL) on May 12th. With Horák’s and Grebeshkov’s signings it looks like Vityaz is attempting to step further away from their goonish team play which is good news for the team and for the KHL.
Lennart Petrell, with the OKC Barons for part of 2011-12, tweeted that he has signed a 2-year contract with Luleå (SHL) on May 16th.
Good luck, boys!
