The OKC Barons defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-4 in their second game this weekend. The penalty infraction minutes were minor compared to Friday’s game: 8 minutes for the Barons and 6 minutes for the Griffins. The AHL announced earlier today that Grand Rapids Griffins defenseman Garnet Exelby had been suspended for this game as a consequence of the spearing incident on Plante in Friday’s game.

With this victory the Barons currently rank at the top of the AHL at 15-5-0-1 with 31 points.
